Nautica Digital Europe Sports Highlights Sailing

On Sunday, May 24, it will focus much of the attention with the departure of the second stage from the river of Vigo, a first level sports and visual event that will allow citizens and visitors to follow the fleet closely in one of the most recognized enclaves on the European Atlantic coast.

Vigo will again be located in the centre of the international ocean sail with the holding of a new edition of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec, which will take place in the city between 21 and 24 May 2026. During those days, Vigo will welcome the arrival of the first stage of the race and will also be the starting point of the second, with a great exit from the river that is shown as one of the most spectacular moments of the event.

The first stage will begin on Sunday, May 17 in Perros-Guirec (Normandy) and will take the Figaro class fleet to the northern coast of Brittany, the Gulf of Vizcaya, Finisterre and the Cis Islands, before reaching Vigo as a port of arrival. After the stay in the city, the regatists will face the second round of this demanding ocean competition from Galician waters.

The return of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec to Vigo is possible thanks to the support of the Rechtación de Pontevedra and the Port of Vigo, consolidating the Rías Baixas as a privileged natural scenario for the ocean sail and as a reference point in the relationship between Galicia and the international nautical elite.
