The 2026 season will have 13 races on five continents, with new locations and a new team that will join the championship, and innovative technologies will once again occupy a central place

The Rolex SailGP Championship starts this weekend, while Fremantle, Western Australia, is preparing to host its inaugural event from Saturday 17th to Sunday 18th January. Famous for its legendary evening winds "Fremantle Doctor" and the conditions of the competition that change quickly, the historic port city is expected to offer an exciting inaugural event, setting the tone for a year of intense competition and high octanage performance. SailGP has today published more details of its next season 2026, including the return of the favorite locations of the fans, several-year accommodation agreements secured in all regions and an evolved regional structure to increase bets for both athletes and fans, at each stage of the Rolex SailGP Championship.

The 2026 season, which will begin in January 2026 and will take place for an 11-month period, will debut in Perth (from 17 to 18 January) before returning to Auckland (from 14 to 15 February) and will culminate in Sydney (from 28 February to 1 March). The leading professional service firm, KPMG Australia, will be on board as an official regional partner, announcing an expanded commitment in the three events in the Asia-Pacific region, including the host partner of the Oracle Perth Sail Grand Prix, the leading returning partner for the KPMG Sydney Sail Grand Prix and the official partner of the ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix event - 124; Auckland.
