Boats up to 6 metres are 69.7% of the market.
The charter market is still in decline, with a fall of 19.4%.
Murcia (+ 81.4%), Pontevedra (+ 43.7%) and Cadiz (+ 26.5%) are among the most growing provinces.
The market for recreational craft in Spain closed the period enero-September 2025 with 4,339 enrolments, a decrease of 3.9% over the same period of 2024 (4,516 records). Although the figures continue to be negative, the fall is slightly modest against the -5.3% accumulated until August, pointing to a certain stabilization in the rhythm of the nautical market.

By length, vessels up to 6 metres, which are 69.7% of the market, registered 3,023 registrations, 4.1% less than in 2024. The segments of 6 to 8 meters and 8 to 12 meters fell by 3% and 4.6%, respectively, while the ships of 12 to 16 meters fell by 2.4%. And ships over 16 meters back by 6.4%.

By type of vesselthe motor ships continue to lead the market with 1,783 enrolments and 41.1% share, with a decrease of 5.4%. They are followed by water bikes with 1,305 enrollments (-12.2%) and semi-rigid pneumatic (-8.7%). On the other hand, folding tyres grow by 44.7% with 521 records, they are kept in positive.

Charter market; andthe market for the rental of recreational craft returns 1,332 enrolments between January and September, a decrease of 19.4% from 2024 (1,653). The decrease is concentrated in vessels up to 6 meters, which fall by -23.2%, and in semi-rigid pneumatic, which are back by -26.3%. On the contrary, the sailboats registered for rental use smooth their fall to the -15.2%.

Distribution by province, Baleares (589 enrolments) continues to lead the market, despite a 19.9% decline. Barcelona (527) remains stable (+ 0.2%). They highlight how the provinces with the highest growth: Murcia (410) experiences a significant increase in enrolment of + 81.4%, Pontevedra (+ 43.7%), Cadiz (+ 26.5%), and Alicante (+ 17.1%).
