The Swan 42 Magical capitalized by Julio Rodríguez of the fleet of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo, was the absolute winner of the twenty-first edition of the Trophy Vila de Bouzas- Abanca Week, which organized the vicedecan of the Galician nautical, the Bouzas Maritime Liceo; with the support of the Organizing Committee of the Abanca Week and the Secretariat for O Sport of the Galicia Xunta.

The result of the competition, for which there were serious doubts about the adverse conditions of the meteum in the Viguese ria... which dawned with fog and without wind, was a surprisingly day, in which conditions finally became exceptional, with winds of 10-12 knots from the south-west, which rewarded the tenacity of the judges, which despite the climate adversity, at no time threw the towel.

In line of departure one of the most powerful fleets that this season have been gathered in Galicia, with several Lusitan units from Lisbon and Porto, they could not check the Spanish ships, which were imposed on the viguesa quote.

With an hour delay, it began in the north-west of the Viguese ría the Vila de Bouzas. In the face of the situation, the judges with good judgment chose a very tight 15-mile route in the Regatas Field of the Cis Islands: with a first turn in the so-called weather beacon, to then climb to Subrido and Bondaña, to enter.

Both Magical and Bon 3, they were good at the prognosis... because they dominated the test from beginning to end. These two ships were precisely imposed in the so-called ORC Class 0-3 which brought together the ships of the largest length, being the third place for the French resident in Portugal, J; ean Claude Serrade that competes for the Monte Real Club of Yates of Baiona, which relegated to the fourth position one of the best units within the Portuguese team: Maddmax de Carlos Morgado of Lisbon.

In the ORC4 category he won an illustrious veteran: Luis García Trigo del Monte Real, and did so by relegating him to another of the favorites: the Balea Dous de Luis María Pérez González of the Real Club Náutico Rodeira. The third place was for one of the most beautiful ships of this Vila de Bouzas... the Bonaventure; completing the best of this class the Javitud of the fleet of Leixóes- Porto, closing the list two ships of Bouzas: Exit Manitu and Begur, along with the Boreas of Manolo Núñes of Náutico de Vigo. For its part in the ORC5 victory of the Scolio del Liceo with far-off Castro to the cane, ahead of the Aquilón del Moaña Mar and the Salao de Juan Carlos Sicre.

They also competed with ships with reduced crews (solitaries and two), with Salaño dos victory with the tandem Jacobo Vecino-Brenda Maure of the Nautico de Vigo... while Smaku of Alfonso Rodríguez was the best of the solitaire navigators, which is the Commodore of the Maritime Liceo of Bouzas.

In short, the great race of the Abanca Week in Viguese languages, which has meant for the Liceo, one of its most important historical races; and certainly the one that has had the highest level this season after the competitions that organized the Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona: Trofeos Conde de Gondomar and Prince of Asturias. The work of the board of directors that runs the ex-Olympic rowing Miguel Pereira is making history with the Vicedecan, and gradually continues to claim a reference place in the Galician candle, within the heavy sailing competitions.

Now the Abanca Week is heading for Portonovo in the town hall of Sanxenxo, where next Saturday the Open of Spain of Reduced Tripulations will be held, by the hand of the Royal Nautical Club of Portonovo... starting from the calendar of the Week first in La Coruña and then in Marín, in the Ria de Pontevedra with the rowing and pyragüism competitions of the hand of ENCE and the Concello de Marín.
