Twenty teams of eight nationalities will meet in Barcelona to compete for three intense days. The Spanish Cup will be marked for the National Ránking of the J70 class and will serve as a qualifying event for the 2026 World Championship in Cascais. The HSN Sailing Team, with Javi Padrón, Luis Martínez Doreeste, Adolfo López and Ricardo Terrades, is currently leading the provisional national ranking after their victory in the Spanish Championship held in A Coruña last June. He is followed by the MarNatura of Luis Bugallo and the Patakin of the Mallorcan Luis Albert, a recent subchampion of Europe. In fourth position is the Noticia, by Luis Martín Cabiedes. As for the Barcelona Winter Series, the current leaders - Seriousfun, Bodegas Can Marlés and HSN Sailing Team- will not be fully at this meeting, so the Spanish teams will have a unique opportunity to add important points to the general classification.

The Reial Club Nàutic in Barcelona, is committed to the technology of robotic beacons MarkSetBot, which will be tested during this season in the Barcelona Winter Series as a trial for the J70 European Championship, to be held in Barcelona from 17 to 26 July 2026.

On Saturday and Sunday the first departure is scheduled at 12: 00. In total, a maximum of 12 sleeves have been programmed, with a limit of 4 per day. At the end of Sunday's tests, the trophy ceremony will be held on the terrace of the Real Club Nautico of Barcelona, where the winners of the Spanish Cup of J70 and the winners of the second series of
Barcelona Winter Series.
