The National of Catamaran was held in Cambrils, with 55 ships and little wind

Club Nàutic Cambrils has organized the Spanish Catamaran Championship by delegation of the Royal Spanish Vela Federation, in collaboration with the Catalan Vela Federation and the National Secretariat of the Catamaran Class
The Spanish Championship of Catamaran, by the hand of Club Nàutic Cambrils, whose technicians were able to complete in the field of tarraconense races, seven tests over three days and with quite favourable weather conditions. The National of the class has brought together 95 regatists and 55 vessels of the classes Formula 18, Class A, Hobie 16 and Interseries. After days, the miracle of the wind was performed on Sunday... with a rise of up to 18 knots, which allowed a single test for all. Then, with the wind rising, the organizing committee decided to suspend the remaining tests.

In the award, they were by the youngest regatist, Cayetano Chumilla, 12 years old; the largest regatist, Serafin Sanz, 70 years old; the regatist who has come further from Finland, Mikko Räisänen; the best-classified patron, Claudia Teni and the oldest boat model, by Josep Ribé and Dalmasi Gisbert, of the Níutic Cambrils Club. The distribution of trophies for Class A, which Manuel Calavia has won from the Real Club Marítimo in Barcelona, began. The Spanish Champions of Catamaran in the class F18 have been Toni Rivas and Jordi Sánchez, from the Garraf Nautical Club. In the Interseries class, the winner was Albert Gironès, from the Sitges Nautical Club. Finally, the Spanish Champions in the Homie 16 class were Marc Jovani and Marta Porta, from the Nautical Culera Club.
