The pre-Olympic Gonzalo Suárez dates back and proclaims Spanish champion of Ilca7 in Altea
The Altea Bay hosted the Spanish Cup of Ilca7 on the weekend, with the participation of 49 lasers from 12 communities. Among them were the members of the pre-Olympic team of the Royal Spanish Vela Federation (with the exception of Joel Rodríguez) and the promises of the strategic project 2032. The regatist Gonzalo Suárez of the Club Náutico Altea, was proclaimed champion after a brilliant rebound that culminated on Sunday with two consecutive victories in the last sleeves.
On Sunday Gonzalo Suárez took advantage of his knowledge of the race field to achieve two first positions and consolidate his rebound. With 43 points in the final classification, the 24-year-old regatist took the national title to the applause of the local public number and the technical team of his club. The podium was completed by Tim Lubat (RCN Palma), second with 46 points, and Fernando Abella, third with 49 points.
As for the rest of the pre-Olympic team, Javier Seguí (RCN Port de Pollença) was fifth absolute and fourth Sub 21; Adolfo Virgili (RCR Alicante) finished sixth; Leo Barreto (RCN Tenerife) finished in the seventh square; and the current world subchampion Sub 19, Karol Krupski (CV Port Andraxt) was eighth absolute and fifth Sub 21. The members of the project 2032 Viktor Kateliev (RCN Gran Canaria) and David Ponseti (RCN Palma) were decimal and thirteenth absolute respectively, being eighth and ninth Sub 21.
First act of the Autumn Trophy of Cruises and Snipe by the hand of the Astur of Regatas of Gijón
The Real Club Astur de Regatas celebrated the first day of the Autumn Trophy of Cruises and Snipe on the weekend. The BullBox, by Luis Noguera in class I, the Aqua, by Santiago Glez- Quirós in class II and the Espumeru, by Alberto Tablón in class III were the best.
