The International Pista del Miño in the historic thermal villa of Cortegada, is the stage of the Iberian Open of Nautical Skiing, Wakeboard and Wakesurf, which has at stake the Grand Prix of Ourense, and is immersed in the Abanca Week. It will be Saturday at 10: 00 in the morning when the competition begins, in which many clubs from all over the Peninsula participate, with special impact on the communities of Galicia and Madrid... case of Dummies de Ourense, San Telmo de Tui, Arcade Club, A Golada Clube or the Interpeñas. Among the athletes who will be in the waters of the Miño, numerous Spanish champions in the different disciplines, case of Bugarín, Montes, Riveras, Romero, Rey Dugo or Portugal as Andrade.

To highlight that this championship is the only one of official character that brings together Riders at the same time from the specialties of the most traditional Nautical Skiing, with the emerging of Wakeboard and Wakesurf; characteristic that causes a high level of participation, and more because it will be the antecedent of the respective Spanish championships that will be held in the Embalse de Entrepeñas, in the province of Guadalajara that will be the stage of the "wakes," while that of Alarcón madrileño, will be the one who will host the Nautico Skiña. By the way, in the last edition of the Abanca Week, it was held at the Barra de Miño Track, the Spanish "wakes" Championship, which was an extraordinary success.

The program in Cortegada will begin with the competitions of children's wakesurf with several very strong riders, case of Bugarín, Luis Wizner Perez-Lafuente, Paco Riveras and Ulises Romero (among them three Spanish champions). The Wakesuf Open will then go to Miño with two Spanish champions case of Alfonso Rey and Pablo Douro, and one of Portugal Ruy Andrade. After them the girls with Martina Senra, Aitana Vidal, Raquel Fernández, the Madrileñas Sofia and Marta Dugo, as well as Candela Rey. They close these group the open wakeboard and the child.

In its second part they will compete the 20 Riders of Nautical Skiing: starting with the younger and closing with the Open, including the great Galician athlete Alvaro Montes, several times Spanish champion of jumps. At six and a half hours in the afternoon, she is giving awards on the terrace of the old Cortegada Spa at the foot of the Miño, which also has the support of the Xunta de Galicia Sports Secretariat, as well as Aprilos, ATX Surf Boats, Vanguard, Gadis and Coca Cola.
