The Chinese replica of the Titanic or a synfin of information about pharaonic projects

The Chinese replica of the Titanic is still under construction in the province of Sichuan, China, as part of a theme park and permanent museum. Although its completion has been delayed, with an opening date scheduled for 2027, the construction is expected to become an attraction for tourists, offering an unforgettable experience in the original transatlantic (Facebook-friendly photography)
On the other hand, last information states that the real size replica of the Titanic in China, part of the Romandissey theme park, is in detention and in a state of abandonment; its hull is oxidation and vegetation growth, according to the latest reports of May 2025. Despite previous reports of 2021 indicating a possible advanced state of construction or opening dates, the project has faced stagnation and, to date, construction seems to remain paralyzed without recent progress.
On the basis of the fact that the project is not to build a real ship... it is a fixed terrestrial structure that is built with concrete, at the level of a faithful size replilk and interiors to the famous Titanic... but that has never been floating.
For its part in the Chinese province of Sichuan, a real-scale replica of the Titanic is being built... the project began in 2014 and is being built as part of a theme park attraction in Daying County. The replica is 269 meters long and 28 meters wide, identical to the original. It will be anchored in a reservoir and will never sail. More than 23,000 tons of steel and several years of work have been used in the project, which is expected to include historically precise details, such as the dining room, door handles and a steam machine in operation to simulate the experience of being on board the original ship. The project will cost about $150 million and the replica is intended to attract tourists from around the world as a five-star hotel-museum experience. (Courtesy The Marine Buff)
