Thanks to the support of the Harbour Authority of Vigo, the Provincial Dependation of Pontevedra and the Xunta of Galicia... the City of Vigo will live live one of the international sailing competition, with the greatest prestige at the planetary level: the Regata in Solitario of Le Figaró Paprec, which on its 56 anniversary, its director Yann Chateau has designed a 1,850-mile route, which will be built in three stages.

Solitaire sailors will first have to face the Channel of the Mancha and its powerful currents and approach the North Atlantic surrounding the mythical Fastnet Rock... then the Roman Finisterrae... the Cape Finisterre, on the western coast of Spain, with arrival and exit to one of the most emblematic ports of the old continent: Vigo, which is located in one of the most beautiful bays in the world: the Ria de Vigo. In the year 1702, the most important naval battle of the Renaissance took place: the Battle of Rande, in which the Spanish and French armed forces were faced... against the British and Dutch... while the mythical treasure of the Indies was at stake, the victory of the English deserved the State to baptize the main London avenue as Vigo Street, and gold and silver pieces will be coined with the name Vigo, in the reign of Anne at the beginning of the 18th century.

The Battle of Rande was one of the great European battles of all history (with the Spanish-French fleet, facing British and Dutch, 1702).

The current winner of the Le Figaro Regatta, the Irish Tom Dolan is the favorite pattern, and therefore the one who will patronize the boat to beat, will have in front of the French Alexis Loison, who has been one of the winners of the mythical British Fastnet Race... also highlighting in the favorite panel the young gala, Charlote Yven, who is immersed in a solid project and a great progression in recent years, aspires to become the first woman to win in this race.

The Galician city will again be the protagonist of the international sailing with the final exit of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec, which will be held on Sunday 21 September at 11: 00. The fleet will travel a 10-mile coastal stretch through the Vigo River before facing the Channel of the Mancha, heading to Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue in France, culminating in the 56th edition of one of the world's most legendary ocean races.

From the 17th to the 20th of September, the fleet will be based in A Laxe, in the dársena of Portocultura, where the regatists will rest and prepare their ships. At the same time, in the Jardines del Cable, activities will be offered for families, gastronomic tasting of the Conselleria do Mar and concerts with cooking show at the end of each day.

On Wednesday, the official presentation of this two-stage, of arrival and final departure, will be held, where will be unchecked by the president of the Harbour Authority of Vigo, Carlos Botana, and the vice president of the Recession of Pontevedra, Luisa Sánchez, the details of the four days that will replace Vigo on the world map of the candle.
