Regata Costa da Vela NB21: Gitana (ORC) and Smaku (A1-A2) the best in Bouzas

The Ria de Vigo gave the participants in the V Regata Costa da Vela NB21 a bright day in light, wind and sea as natural compensation by not being able to chart the coastal route to the Camouco Faro, north of the Isle of Ons, in prevention for the presence of orcas in the surroundings of the Cíes Islands (Photo Juan Caballero)
The first to take the exit were the Solitaries, A Two and ORC, then the ships registered in the category of
Nautical concentration... for the first, the route of 21.20 nautical miles was made between the exit, near Channas del Morrazo; beacon of Bondaña, at the foot of the island of Toralla; Sobrido, in Cabo Home; under Lagoa, in Guixar; Lousal, near Rande; Tofiño, in Cabo de Mar, in the vicinity of the beach of Samil and Arrival, at the same height as the Departure. The seconds shortened the tour in Tofiño, without having to go down to Guixar or Rande.
The Corisco, of Marcos Pérez, of the Maritime Liceo of Bouzas, was made with the Trophy Juan Piñeiro, being the first sailing boat to cross in real time the line of arrival. Alalunga, by Rodrigo Rodríguez, of the Marítimo de Canido Club, took the Vepsa Prize, being the first ship to cross the intermediate goal of the Solitaries and A Two, in Guixar; like Corisco and Grupo Bazán in their respective Divisions of the ORC.

The award was conducted by the president of the Liceo, Miguel Pereira, accompanied by Víctor García, representing NB21; Víctor Mourelos, by the Hotel Pazo los Escudos; and Sergio Gómez, by Vepersa. Juan Piñeiro's family gave the prize that bears his name (Photo Juan Caballero)
La Gitana, by José Ángel Quintero, from Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona; Esquio, by Alejandro Castro, from the Bouzas Liceo; and Keep Calm,
of Javier Rey, also of Bayona, were awarded with the bonds of the Hotel Pazo the Scudos Spa & Resort. In A1 and A2 the victory was for the Smaku, of Alfonso Rodríguez, of Bouzas, in the highest step, followed in the silver by Asante Sana, of Juan Carlos Trabazos, of the Club Marítimo de Panxón; and Alalunga, of Rodrigo Rodríguez, of Canido, in the bronze. Vepersa, the Audi-Volkswagen dealership, awarded the winners with weekend experiences driving vehicles of their sustainable range and the Hotel Pazo the Shields delivered bonuses to use in their Spa Resort.
