Puerto Portals 52 Super Series: American Magic, an unstoppable leader

Nautica Digital Europe Sports Highlights Sailing

American Magic Quantum Racing was confirmed as the best team in Palma Bay to raise its third consecutive title of the 52 Super Series 2025. It was enough for the American team to sign a discreet sixth in the first round of the grand final to proclaim itself a champion in the absence of a test to be disputed, making its regularity valid throughout the week to reaffirm itself as the undisputed leader of the circuit

The last day of the Puerto Portals competition 52 Super Series Sailing Week met the forecasts. American Magic Quantum Racing came out in the water with a comfortable 18-point rent on Sled and Alpha +, forced to make it perfect and expect a debacle of the leader that would not finally happen. Two final tests made it possible to complete the program of the fourth event of the Circuit, and the 12 teams of nine nationalities fired from Mallorca with a full of ten partials in their lockers, reaffirming the reputation of Palma Bay as one of the most reliable race fields in the Mediterranean.

In the first of the day, Sled began to dream of the impossible and led the fleet from the exit while his archirrival languished in a rare position to the tail of the platoon. Takashi Okura's team made a magnificent race, and achieved victory after imposing on an equal pulse with a Platoon Aviation that kept fighting to the goal. Third, seven seconds from the German team, it was Thai Vayu. The feat allowed Sled to scratch points at the leader, but it proved insufficient: American Magic Quantum Racing's sixth position proclaimed the team of Doug DeVos champion of Puerto Portals in the absence of a test.

In the last test of the week, the departure of Platoon Aviation and Alpha + by the left end of the line had its reward in the first step by buoy, where the Hong Kong team led the German. The built-up allowed Platoon Aviation to stand in the lead, a position that he would be able to defend until he scored his second partial victory of the week ahead of Alpha + and Vayu. The ship of Harm Müller-Spreer, which has on board the Spanish Jordi Calafat, Joan Vila, Javier de la Plaza and Victor Mariño, was confirmed as the best ship of the day (1 + 2) to fire with good sensations a week of sinsabores.

2025-08-22: Puerto Portals 52 Super Series: American Magic an increasingly solid leader

An undisputed American Magic faces the end of Puerto Portals as a solid leader

American Magic Quantum Racing took advantage of the excellent wind day in the bay of Palma to leave the title of Puerto Portals practically condemned. The American team faces the last day with a comfortable 18-point advantage over their immediate persecutors, Sled and Alpha +, who have two only tests in the great end of Saturday to try to perform the miracle.

The first of the day began with a painful off-line of Providzza as its rivals escaped by the bow. The first to complete the initial section was Sled, stalked by Alegre, but it was Platoon Aviation that crossed the leader the equator of the tour after a magnificent set-up. The Harm Müller-Spreer team, which features the Majorcan strategist Jordi Calafat and incorporated this week into the
Catalan navigator Joan Vila, managed to keep his rivals aft and get a victory they really needed. Platoon Aviation has been through all kinds of vicissitudes throughout the season, including the loss of its botalon and the consequent criminalization in a collision with Alegre yesterday. Although far from the head of the Puerto Portals provisional, Segundo finished Alegre and third Sled.

In the battle for the second position, Protenzza and Alkedo starred in an equal pulse that was resolved a few meters from the goal in favor of the Turkish team. American Magic, faster, and would be again in the final of the day. Tomorrow more than we have to decide in Puerto Portals from 1: 30 p.m..

After an inaugural day in which only one test could be disputed, the fleet was today moving its way out into the water to try to fight three from noon.
