2500 regatists, palists, athletes and raiders at Abanca Week will compete in the Rias of Vigo, Pontevedra and A Coruña, as well as in the inland waters of Ourense

It was officially presented at the Viguese centre of Abanca, the twenty-sixth edition of the Abanca Week, which on this occasion organize the Bouzas Maritime Licensing, the Canido Maritime Club, the Olívico Piragüism Club, the Vigo Maritime Club, the Samertolameu Sports Society, the Tambo Marin Piragüismo Club, the Portonovo Nautical Club, the Ourense Dumies Club, the Castrelo Nautico Club and the Royal Coruña Nautical Club. With the support of the Galician, Spanish and Lusitan federations, of the Náutico-wakeboard ski sports, rowing, pyragüismo and sailing. It will compete until the first week of November, and will do about 2,500 athletes. The event was chaired by Secretary Xeral for the Sport of Galicia, José Ramón Lete Lasa, who closed the event.

After what was the prelude to the general event (the Iberian of J80 that Javier Gandara won last June from the hand of the Bouzas Maritime Liceum)... it is the turn of the Iberian Open of Náutic-wakesurf-wakeboard, which will be held at the International Track of the Miño in Cortegada... at the foot of the Centenary Spa. In play the Ourense Trophy and the Grand Prix Oils April. Several dozen riders from the three disciplines will compete on this international track.

The Canido Maritime Club then comes into action with the Ilca Iberian (on its 4 side for the youth, juniors... and on 6 (female Olympic) and 7 (male Olympic). As usual, it will compete in the Cis Island Regatta Field, with a hundred lasers, from all over the Peninsula.

Difficult third act of the week: on the one hand, it will compete in the Enchorus of Castrelo de Miño in the Clinic International of Optimist, directed by the preparation of the Olympic Team of Spain: Ero Pons and on the other in the incomparable Regatas Field of La Coruña... with regatas of Finn, 420 and Snipe.

Already in the second part of this edition of the Abanca Week, again in Vigo the Liceo organizes the cruise race Vila de Bouzas. In the waters of the river of Pontevedra, it is followed by the so-called Open of Spain for reduced crews: two and three crew members... who organize the Nautical Club of Portonovo.

After the foot of the Tower of Hercules will take place the Isabel Zendal of the female candle in the J80 provided at the time by Abanca and as a close down again to the Ria of Pontevedra, for in Marin will be held the Enceo Trophy - Marin Villa of Row and Piranguism, with a hundred batels on the one hand, and a challenge of dragons, in which will be measured the best crews of the Ria against which were brightest in the World of the Philippines of 2024; in what will be the Desafio of Enlo.

After the exhibition of what will be the Abanca Week, José Ramón Lete delivered the announced awards of Comodoros de Honor of this year's edition, on the one hand to Javier Ruiz de Cortazar elected as president of the Spanish Confederation of Nautical Associations and Clubs: CEACNA... then received his distinction the young Viguese rider Hugo Bugarín de Francisco (from the Dumies Club of Ourense) for achieving bronze in the world championship, held in Lisbon.
