Kenex, Pilar IV and Ziggy Stardust, win on the turn to Cantabria to Vela

The event has been organized jointly by the Real Federación Cantabra de Vela, the Real Club Náutico de Laredo, the Real Club Marítimo de Santander, the Club Náutico Marina del Cantábrico and the Real Club Náutico de Castro Urdiales, with the support of the Puerto Deportivo de Laredo, the Consejeria de Cultura, Turismo y Sporte, the Consejeria de Fomento, Ordenación del territorio y Medio Ambiente, the municipalities of Santander, Camargo, Laredo and Castro Urdiales, as well as Café Dromediario, Panaderie Hurtado and the Corporación de Practica del Puerto de Santander
It concluded the thirty-third edition of the Vuelta a Cantabria a Vela with the third and final stage, joining Castro Urdiales and Laredo. The departure, coordinated by the Real Club Náutico de Castro Urdiales, took place at 12: 00 in the morning for all categories. The route included a wind tour - with an additional turn for IRC1 and IRC2 - after which the buoy was taken by port of recalada before entering between the fort of Charles V and the observatory of the RCNL.

The closing ceremony was held in the Multiusos building of the Port of Laredo
IRC1: The Kenex, by Ignacio Giménez, signed an impeccable performance with three wins. Second was the Aizen, by Gustavo Arce (three seconds on), and completed the podium by Ricardo Reguilón.
IRC2: The triumph was for Pillar IV, patronized by Javier Cifrián, who maintained his leadership from beginning to end. He was followed by the Txepin of Koldo Báez and the Ulysses of Iñaki Albizu.
IRC3: Undisputed victory of the Ziggy Stardust, by Juan Fernández- Cosero, undefeated throughout the championship. Second was the Patuelas, by Alvaro Esteban (also with three seconds), and third the Quiloa, by Luis M.ª Sola.
The Kenex completed the last stage in less than 3 hours and 24 minutes. All the planned tests could be disputed, consolidating the success of the race.
