The Spaniards signed an irregular Sunday, leaving in the middle of the fleet in the three sleeves of the day and without options to be in the final... for their part France won for the first time this season and Australia and New Zealand share leadership with 61 points... the next stop of the Rolex SailGP Championship will be in Saint- Tropez (12 and 13 September)

With this victory of France, Australia takes the lead of the Rolex SailGP Championship with 61 points, the same as New Zealand. Spain is now fourth in that general ranking, with 56 points, to two from Britain that occupies the third position and only five from Australia and New Zealand. The next stop, 12 and 13 September in Saint-Tropez, penultimate stop before arriving in Cadiz on 4 and 5 October.

2025-08-16: SailGP Germany: Denmark makes history over 100 km / hour

The wind was the protagonist of the whole day... its instability marked the course of the competition; in the third manga of the day turned out to be a copy of the second: good departure from Spain, arriving in the head group... there, Denmark reached 103.93 km / h signing a historical record in SailGP, exceeding the previous brand of France that was registered at 99 km / h. This third delivery turned out to be historic, reaching several F50 at the same time at 100 km / h. In Sassnitz the 18-meter wing was used for the first time this season, therefore the first time that the wing was used with the T-foils

Without Brazil, that on Friday day literally left the ship, and with a French team that has arrived at the last minute: this has started the first day in Sassnitz. A historic Saturday day, where for the first time in a SailGP race, has been over 100 kilometres per hour.

A Saturday that has started with penalization for skipping out for a Spain SailGP Team that has been ambitious, but to which it has cross for less than a second in this first race. That turned out to be a ballast for the Spanish, who have spent most of the first race of the day in the last positions of the fleet. A first race that has dominated for a large part Dylan Fletcher and his GBR, but that at the last moment, Erik Heil's Germany has been able to surprise and take the first sleeve to its hobby. The Cocks, fighting in the back, have been able to recover some position, coming in ninth place.

Spain changed the torns in the second race of the day, signing a magnificent exit, arriving in first position in the first buoy and dominating the fleet. In a face-to-face struggle with Britain and France, Diego Botín and company lost speed in the fourth buoy, falling to the fourth position in a very complicated maneuver. The whole of Spain tried, but finally finished this second sleeve of the day in fifth position, after a fierce struggle with Australia and New Zealand.

The Spanish team, after the first three buoys, put themselves in the first position in a great strategic decision and were in a nice battle with Australia and Denmark to reach the last buoy in the fight for the first position. Slingsby took out the wand, won the third race and left ours in third position, tightening the overall classification to the maximum... and in the fourth we were not lucky.
