Sassnitz is the first frenzy week stop in SailGP. A month where three major awards will be held: Sassnitz, Saint- Tropez and Geneva. All this before arriving in Cadiz on 4 and 5 October

The Spanish team arrives in Germany after not signing the best weekend in Portsmouth, but maintaining the third position in the general ranking of the Rolex SailGP Championship. The Spain SailGP has consolidated in the last tests of the season its aspiration to revalidate the world title and they are presented in the city of Teutona with the maximum aspiration to be again among the best.

Spain faces the challenge of continuing to fight with the New Zealand of Peter Burling, the current leader of the championship with 54 points and with the Australia of Tom Slingsby, second with 52. Two world powers that Los Gallos are stalking and have already been able to overcome on multiple occasions this season.

With that of Sassnitz there are five Grand Prizes left to finish the season, reach Abu Dhabi and play the title. Five races with absolutely everything in play and in which the Spain SailGP Team arrives at the best moment of the season, winning in two of the last three Great Awards. After a few intense weeks, the Rolex SailGP Championship will arrive in Cadiz in October with absolutely everything at stake before the last test in Abu Dhabi.
