In the podium of the Wingfoil 2025 Canaries Cup, the male category of Slalom, Ángel Granda (Real Nautical Club of Gran Canaria) took the gold with 6 net points, followed by Jeremy Rodríguez (CD Varadero) with 9 points and the major Anchor Sosa with 19 points. This category consists of a speed path between buoys, in which the Riders must combine power and technique to complete fast turns and maintain as much speed as possible

The beach of El Burrero lived this weekend a double celebration for the canarian nautical sport. The grancanary Ángel Granda and the tarifeña based in Pozo Izquierdo Mar de Arce Sánchez were proclaimed absolute champions of the Wingfire 2025 Canary Cup in the discipline of Slalom, while they rose with the victory at the prestigious El Burrero Wingfire Open Festival.

The event brought together 18 top-level Riders on a quote marked by speed, strategy and skill on the waves, with a festive and competitive environment that made El Burrero Bay an international window of this booming sport. The test was part of the official programming of the Great Canaria GWA Wingfire World Cup 2025, consolidating the island as a world reference of discipline.

In the podium of El Burrero Wingfoil Open Festival, Open Comunio, Ángel Granda again dominated, ahead of the grancanary Jeremy Rodríguez and the Nia Suardíaz (Club Náutico de Sevilla), third with 16 points. This double triumph of Granda and Mar de Arce highlights its excellent competitive moment and strengthens its position as national and international reference points

In the female category, the tarifeña based in Pozo Izquierdo Mar de Arce Sánchez (competing with the Club Deportivo Canakite Experiences) was raised with a solid domain in the seven sleeves disputed, adding 19 net points to the 53 of Martina Reino (the Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria), which finished second. The podium was completed by the major Zoe Sosa.
