The Royal Nautical Club of Torrevieja concludes the preparations for one of its great dates of the year. The emblematic and historic race: Torrevieja-Cabo Roig, which is 61 years old and is accompanied by the Memorial Fernando Pedrera, one of the great drivers of this test and awarded a plus to it by incorporating the Astoria Cup that reaches the eleventh edition, will be held between 14 and 15 August. An appointment in summer fixed and important for the best ships Cruucero ORC of the South of the Valencia Community and much of the Region of Murcia, adding between the two days 50 ships.

The first delivery, the first to enter the scene will be the fleet that will compete for the Astoria Cup on Thursday, August 14. The committee plans to face a technical wind race (barlovento-sotavento), with two planned tests, with the top of exit to the first one established at 4 p.m.

The second will be held on Friday 15, with the traditional journey to Cabo Roig, with an established distance of 14 nautical miles for the Cruise ORC fleet, while one established over 10 miles will be for the ships Division 2 and 3 and the single class SB3. Both routes will begin their journey with exit in the vicinity of the RCN of Torrevieja.

At the social level, both tests will have their closing ceremony and trophy delivery in the framework of a party organized by the Club with the collaboration of the firms Patrime, Pura Vida, Astoria and Estrella de Levante.
