Marie Schlittenbauer World Wingfire Champion Surf-Freestyle

The German is imposed in the Gran Canaria GWA Wingfire World Cup 2025 on the Spanish Riders Nia Suardíaz and Mar de Arce, who remains the subchampion
The young German Marie Schlittenbauer was crowned only 15 years old as the new world champion of Wingfire Surf-Freestyle, after being established at the end of the Great Canaria GWA Wingfire World Cup 2025. His victory not only gave him the title of the test on the beach of El Burrero (Ingenio), but also took away the world reign from the Spanish Nia Suardíaz (original of Tarifa), a defender of the title.
In the great final, Schlittenbauer shone with his best score of the day: a spectacular front flip against the wave ramp that gave him 8 points. His strategy was solid: to secure three waves with high value combinations before risking with a double palau, an unusual trick in competition, which he finally failed to complete.
The final podium was completed by the Austrian Viola Lippitsch, third classified, followed by the Swiss Zara Mailard, the French Manon Dupé and Nia Suardíaz, in fifth position. After the competition in Gran Canaria, the last stop of the world circuit, Schlittenbauer ascends directly to the highest of the final world ranking, followed by Mar de Arce and Nia Suardíaz in third place. The top five are completed by Lippitsch (4th) and Maillard (5th).
