The centenary edition of the Rolex Fastnet Race has been attended by the most powerful multicasques and monocasques of ocean races

The most spectacular fighting scenes have been offered by the 100-foot maxis that with their more than 30 meters in length, in recent years they have faced in many of the world's most famous 600-mile classic races.

During the first half of the 695 nautical mile tour, the SHK Scallywag, winner of the Rolex Middle Sea Race 2024, supported with solvency the constant attacks of the Black Jack 100 and the Leopard 3, in what was essentially a 350 nautical mile girdle. After leaving the mythical island of the Fastnet by port, the race towards the Sorlingas Islands became a speed competition with constant wind and transfered. Black Jack managed to take the lead, achieving a spectacular two-day, 12-hour, 31-minute and 21-second chrono.

The last four with their 105 competing feet offered an exciting show at first, but it was the SVR Lazartigue, the owner of the race record (established in 2023), who imposed on their rivals... the first to turn the Fastnet Rock, the French trimaran achieved an inexpugnable advantage, reaching Cherburgo-en-Cotentin in a time of one day, 17 hours, 18 minutes and four seconds.
