Rolex Fastnet Race, certainly the most important high race on the planet

The centenary edition of the Rolex Fastnet Race reinforced its position as the world's largest ocean race, with the departure of 444 yachts from Cowes, England. They are expected 696 nautical miles of technically challenging water and will test their resilience before the goal in Cherburg, France. The diverse fleet, composed of elite professionals, skilled Corinthian and passionate adventurers, enjoyed a quieter start than in the two previous editions, moving with a firm step from the Solent and along the Channel of the Mancha to the more open waters of the Celtic Sea.
