The 43 Copa del Rey Mapfre, which will be held from next Tuesday July 29 to Saturday August 2, will feature for the seventh consecutive year with the participation of the Star Damm Sailing Team, who will seek his fourth title as champion of the King's Cup, three of them being the absolute winner of the Mediterranean star race. This year, it will also be the ORC European Championship, bringing the champion ships to a double in their palmaris. The Star Damm Sailing Team, which sails under the grills of the RCMT Punta Umbria and the RCN Barcelona, has as its shipowner Nacho Montes with the intention to continue to add successes such as that of the 1998, 2018, 2019 and being third in 2022.

The team is led in the water, one more year, by the Olympic canary regatist Luis Martínez Doreste to the cane, which will be accompanied by Nacho Montes, shipowner and braza; Toni Rivas, tactical; Roberto Molina, navigator and electronics; Ricardo Terrades, major trimmer; Tunte Cantero, trimer de foque; Nacho Muribe, trimer de spi; Alfonso Montes, libero; Álvaro Fernández Candau, piano; Peter Fischer, staysail; Adolfo López Quevedo, palo; Alfonso, second Cristian, and Alguro.

The fleet's competitiveness is maximum and the Star Damm Sailing Team will again compete with a DK46 model, with which this year 2025 has already climbed to the podium in the two races in which it has participated, winning the Count of Godó BMW Trophy in Barcelona and second in the Queen's Trophy in Valences.

In the present edition of the King's Cup the Star Damm will meet again with another of its twin ships the HM Hospitals and being this year as European of ORC has changed the system of groups and will participate in the class Sail Racing ORC A, with a total of 34 ships from 15 countries in liza, and in which will be among others the ClubSwan 42 such as Elena Nova, Pez de Abril and Nadir, the last two world champions of this category.
