The 2025 Rolex Fastnet Race will celebrate the centenary of the creation of the world's most emblematic ocean race and its founding club, the Royal Ocean Racing Club. The test will begin on July 26 in Cowes, bringing together a simply spectacular participating fleet.

For a hundred years, the Rolex Fastnet has been considered one of the most complete tests of ocean navigation. It is a place that tests skill, resistance and strength, and in which ambitions and dreams face hard reality. For some, participating is the culmination of a journey, a unique challenge in life; for many, it has become irresistibly attractive, an inexcusable tradition in the calendar every two years.

The centenary edition of the Rolex Fastnet Race begins on Saturday, July 26. The race and its organizer, the Royal Ocean Racing Club, were born in 1925 and have been supported by Rolex since 2001. The Swiss watch manufacturer, the main sponsor of the event, regards this collaboration as a key element in his broad relationship with the world of sailing, which began almost 70 years ago.

Beyond its historical legacy, the Rolex Fastnet Race is the world's largest ocean race. This year you will welcome more than 450 participating ships. Never before had such a fleet been gathered in an ocean race, with teams from more than 30 countries and crews from more than 40.

The reward for success at the Rolex Fastnet Race is the Fastnet Challenge Cup, which is awarded to the absolute winner of the race according to the handicap. It is one of the most coveted trophies of the candle, and this is an important chapter in the trajectory of each member of the winning crew. For the winning shipowner, this exceptional moment of human achievement is recognized in a unique way with a specially recorded Rolex watch. Since its creation in 1925, the Rolex Fastnet Race has again and again proved to be a decisive test for ocean regatists of all origins. It is one of the most venerated and challenging high-rise races in the world, which explains its condition as one of the pillars of Rolex's privileged relationship with the candle. The gunshot that will mark the first start of the 51st edition of the Rolex Fastnet Race will sound at 13: 00 (local time, 15: 00 h in Peninsular Spain). From that moment on, history continues.
