Spain wins the J80 World Cup with Javier Padron of Patron in Nieuwpoort

The brothers Javier and Alberto Padron and Alba Ponce, regatists of the Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria, have proclaimed themselves world champions of the class J80 2025 in the race that ended on Friday in Nieuwpoort (Belgium) for the third year in a row. This last win makes the team tricampoons of the class world, while for Alberto Padron, brother of the patron and member of the crew of Eurobonds Aviko & Newind Foods, this is his sixth world title of J80.
Together with the Canarian crew, the team is completed by Jon Larrazabal and Daniel de la Pedraja, both from the RCM of Santander. In Belgium a fleet of 58 ships participated, five days of race was held and a total of 12 tests were held. The ship Eurobonds Aviko & Newind Foods, patronized by Javier Padron, has a magnificent balance in the partial: three 1, three 2, two 3, three 4 and a sixteenth as its worst position, which is its discard.
