52 Rías Alta Regata, the essence of Galicia's high race

The 52 edition of the Rías Altas cruise race begins on Thursday, 3 with the 35-mile A Coruña- Laxe stage, as presented in the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña, the organizer of the test, where the Sports Conceleiro of a Cidade da Coruña attended: Manolo Vázquez; the Club Commodore, Jaime Araujo and the Club's sports director, Jano Toro.

This high-rise race is the longest and longest in the Atlantic and has the collaboration of the municipalities of A Coruña, Malpica, Laxe and Muxia. The second stage will be Friday day 4 between Laxe and Muxia, 16 miles. On Saturday 5 the 30-mile stage will be between Muxia and Malpica. The fourth and final stage will be on Sunday 6 between Malpica and the Coruñés port, about 21 miles away.

Jaime Araújo Comodoro del Club thanked Manuel Vázquez for the municipal collaboration with the Nautico in all the projects of the candle, as well as the hospitality that this race has in the municipalities of Malpica, Laxe and Muxia of great marine tradition and that on the other hand They serve for their tourist projection. Sports director Jano Toro explained the technical peculiarities in which he forces the team to a remarkable effort by going over 100 miles in four days, while expecting a greater participation than the previous edition. Finally, Manolo Vázquez, a great lover of water sports, such as Concelleiro de Sportes de A Coruña, highlighted the municipal support for all types of sports and in particular with all the activities of the sea and especially with the Nautico.

In the last edition of 2024 the same itinerary was planned as this year - as Jaime Araújo explained - for the success of participation and the response of the municipalities of Malpica, Laxe and Muxia. In the class ORC 0-3 the winner was the "Gómez Mostly" of Andrés Soto of the organizing club; second, "Lambaix" of Antonio Rios (Náutico de Cabanas); third "Jabadaa" of Roberto Bermudez de Castro (Náutico Coruña. In the class ORC 4-5 the triumph was for the "Figaro 55" of Jesus Pintos; second "Golfiño" of José Naya (Nautico Ria de Ares); and third "Atlantic 3D Printing" of Guillermo Blanco
