J70 Yupi wins the Joint World Cup in Lago di Garda
Yupi with the Menorcan Cardona to the commanders, had a crew in which were Galician and Catalan regalists.
The Yupi, armed and patronized by Olympic regatist Joan Cardona Méndez under the grympola of the Royal Nautical Club of Palma, has been proclaimed this Sunday World Champion of the J70 class in mixed category. The championship was held from 26 to 29 June in the Italian town of Torbole, in the waters of Lago di Garda, with the participation of 47 teams from 16 countries.

The crew of the Yupi, the only Spanish representative in the world event, has been formed, in addition to Cardona and by regatists such as Gerardo Prego (Vilagarcia), Cristina Pujol (Sant Cugat del Vallés), Fátima Diz and Pilar Amaro (Vigo). The team has sailed with great strength throughout the championship, remaining in the head of the fleet and adding four partial wins in eleven tests.
