Queen's Trophy: Pampero of Down wins the Offshore Regatta

The Pampero of Down wins the Offshore of the Queen's Trophy; he was accompanied on the podium by M10 Zas and O'Marylou
The Pampero of Down is imposed on the demanding Offshore ORC A2 of the SM La Reina Trophy... the fastest to complete the challenging route was the Pampero of Down, a Nicholson 35 patroned by Rodrigo Quesada (Marina Valencia), who crossed the line of arrival after 31 hours and 22 minutes of uninterrupted navigation, thus winning the absolute victory of this punctual race for the Mediterranean sailing circuit. The second position was for the M10 ZAS C & R, a Swan 45 of the French brothers, representing RCN Valencia, who won the same test in the last edition. By closing the podium, the O'Marylou, an X 332, was located by Jesus of Michael of the CNM International.
In the rest of the classification were the Va de bo (Italy 11.98), by Joaquín Pérez (CN Villajoyosa), in fourth position; the Oui (Corby 36), by Toni Garcés (RCN Valencia), fifth; the Vikingo (First 45), by Antonio Picot (RCN Valencia), sixth; the Croswind (JV 44), by Vicente Iranzo (RCN Valencia), seventh; the Reti (First 35S5), by Xavier Santamaría (RCN Valencia), eighth and the Entropia (RCN), by Pablo (RCN), and by Paul (RCN 35). The hardness of the tour, which led to the fleet from Valencia to the Bledas and Es Vedranell islands and then to return to the capital of the Turia, was reflected in the two recorded abandoned: the Tortooga, of Rafa Ruiz (RCN Valencia), and the Jambo Mar without plastic, of Julio Sánchez (Marina Valencia).
After the Offshore test, the XXVI SM Trophy The Queen will continue with the Inshore races from 4 to 6 July, where the ORC and J80 classes will compete on barlovento-sotavento routes, while the Promotion and Open classes will alternate coastal and technical tracks.
