Thelonious of Jon Garay was set in the 60th edition of the Eskarra-Noralth Trophy. He sold in the Vizcaina waters of the Abra, on a cloudy day, in one of the most solderous tests of the candle in the Cantabric and entered his name in chapter sixty. The test, organized by the Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club, was carried out with a north-west wind of 10 to 15 knots on a 15-mile tour. The Vizcadino ship was imposed in class I and in the absolute general, while the Despeinado won in Regata, the Kohen in Cruise II and the Mandovi dalecandELA among the monotypes of class J80.

The second position was for the Carlos Maidagan and Alpega de Alfonso Churuca. The Regata class was for the Despeinado, with the Alpega of Alfonso Churruca second, the Symphony of Javier Onaindia third, the Rat Pack patrolled by Iñigo Smith fourth and the Txupinazo of Juan Valdivia fifth. The Thelonious was the best in the Cruise class I, with the Bacilon of José Miguel Franco second and the Nexus of Javier Trueba third. In Cruise II, the Kohen won. And they completed the podium the Aizian and the Ramper. In J80 he won the Mandovi dalecandELA of Ramón Zubiaga with the Jet Set of Ibon Basáñez in second position.

This has been achieved over six decades of this birth (60 editions after being unable to fight for the pandemic in 2020), with 20 cruises of the different classes in liza. They sailed in search of victory in a race always very attractive among the crews, who see it as one of the most special of the wide calendar scheduled each year by the Club de Las Arenas... an idea that was then President Ramón Zubiria as a tribute to José Luis Azqueta and his Eskarra.
