Aina Bauza and Axelle Pillain start the season with a podium at the ArMen Race

The Mallorcan navigator Aina Bauza and the French Axelle Pillain have started the Class 40 season with strength, achieving a third meritorious position in the prestigious ArMen Race, a coastal race of approximately 300 nautical miles that surrounds the Ar Men lighthouse, passing through Belle-Île and the island of Yeu. In this edition, meteorology already anticipated difficulties for the regatists, with little wind from the beginning, which forced to shorten the tour to 205 miles.

The duo crossed the line of arrival after 1 day, 18 hours and 53 minutes of competition, leaving less than two minutes from the second one classified in a so challenging and exciting final... with this result the season of races that is aimed at theTransat Café L'Or 2025, a two-way transatlantic race that will start from Le Havre on October 26.

Today a new edition of the Regata Menorca Sant Joan has been made official and will take place on 19, 20 and 21 June, joining the ports of Barcelona and Mahón.

In the male category the absolute podium was copied by the representatives of the Náutico Sevilla, led by Miguel Ángel Cervantes, champion with three partial victories, a second and a third place, its discard, for an accumulated 5 points. Behind him were Carlos Barrera, a subchampion with 7; and the first sub13, Adolfo Cañizares, who was 12 points.
