The representative of the Royal Moroccan Navy, Major Navy Captain Mohammed El Fadili, then took the floor. In his address, he stressed the importance of this project "as an expression of the deep ties of friendship and cooperation that unite the Realms of Morocco and Spain in general, the Royal Navy and the shipyard of Navantia in particular."

The shipyard of Navantia San Fernando has celebrated on the afternoon of this Tuesday the act of launching the high patrol that the company has built for the Royal Navy of Morocco. The event was attended by various authorities such as the mayor of San Fernando, Patricia Cavada; the mayor of Puerto Real, Aurora Salvador; the subdelegate of the Government in Cadiz, Blanca Flores; or the Chief of the Arsenal of Cadiz, Vice Admiral Rubén Rodríguez Peña.

The director of Corbetas and Maritime Action Ships, Alberto Cervantes, has been in charge of welcoming all the attendees. He recalled the importance of successfully fulfilling this task, to which other projects already in portfolio will follow. He also had an excited memory of his predecessor in office, with which the program of Morocco, José Antonio Rodríguez Poch, was initiated at the end of one year of his death.

The patrol, which will be the 565 construction of Navantia San Fernando, has a length of 87 meters and a total manga of 13, and can have a strength of 60 people on board. Its construction has meant for the shipyard and its collaborating industry more than a million hours of work and about 1,100 jobs between direct, indirect and induced for three years. The construction of this patrol for Morocco also includes a technical-logistical support package (spare parts, tools and technical documentation), including technical training services for the Royal Moroccan Navy staff in Spain.
