After almost four years at the head of the sports entity, without a doubt one of the most important in Spain... with 122 years of history, the current Board of Directors takes stock of this period that has had great management challenges in various areas, internal, external and especially in the institutional part that has returned the prestige and credibility of the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia. The ché club, after the construction of its Deportivo Port, had serious economic problems in the 80-90's... but the great work of several boards of directors... led everyone to make salvation possible and from here... the new projection of the Club, which has reached a level of quality and prestige, in its unimaginable moment.
The Royal Nautical Club of Valencia begins the process to a new election, at the gates of the SM La Reina Trophy, its most emblematic international race. The Board of Directors, chaired by Marisa Arlandis, agreed last Thursday to advance the elections, which will be determined on date after establishing an electoral calendar that will have to be approved if appropriate by the partners following the next Special Assembly to be held on 14 June, the date at which the Ordinary Assembly was already convened for 1 month, in which as every year the Board of Directors requests and expects the partners to review, comment and authorize their annual accounts.
The Board of Directors has believed that this is now the most appropriate time to start the electoral process, and has decided not to continue until December, the original call limit, even though it can ask the Assembly for an express authorization as requested by the partners to do.
The Real Club Náutico de Valencia, located south of the Puerto de València and opposite the beaches of Pinedo and del Saler, is currently the largest national sports infrastructure in Spain and therefore of great economic and social interest, is also the focus of many external interests that seek to leave València and its citizens without its historical heritage. It has been this directive that has built bridges for more than three years, but also that which has closed doors demanding contractual compliance when it has been necessary, a hard work that has meant great personal wear for the entire team. They are facing a new stage, culminating in the appointment of the new Board of Directors, expected in September.
It is also time to take a brief look at the management that has developed since March 2022. After almost four years of management, with a powerful sports and social program that has been developing all this time and with great growth of activity in all areas: sailing, fishing, diving, rowing, swimming and tennis, a stage is closed for the club in which the internal and external social life has also been revitalized at the institutional level, and in which especially the rights granted have been protected with a clear medium and long-term strategy, which was already giving the first fruits for the management carried out. The request for the extension to the Harbour Authority of Valencia is also prepared for the maturity in 2030 and categorize the Royal C lub Nautico of Valencia, as an entity of public utility and general interest.
