The CSD calls for maternity, family and training support with 450,000 euros

The Official State Gazette has published the resolution of the Presidency of the Higher Council for Sports, calling for aid to women athletes in 2025.

With a total amount of EUR 450,000, this aid is intended to facilitate the reconciliation of the family, academic and professional life of high-level (DAN) and high-performance (DAR) athletes with a federal licence in force. In particular, the following are offered:

What the CSD offers

1) Maternity aid, by birth, adoption, care for the purpose of adoption or care, both temporary and permanent, of a duration of not less than one year and which occurred in 2024.

2) Aid for the reconciliation of sports and family life, for women athletes with children under three years of age enrolled in child education centres, day-care centres or caregivers in 2025.

3) Aid for regulated academic training, in the course of the year 2024- 2025, in order to initiate or continue teaching leading to the obtaining of an official certificate or certificate valid throughout the national territory.

These support highlights the commitment of the Government of Spain to equality and are part of the public sports policies being developed by the CSD to promote women in sport and, in accordance with the mandate of article 27 of the Sports Act, to guarantee their right to the reconciliation of family, academic and professional life. The deadline for submitting applications will remain open from 23 May to 12 June.
