The Spanish national team lived a bright day in the second day of the Olympic Sprint World Cup, held in Szeged (Hungary). The great news of the day came from the hand of the female K4 500, which was imposed with authority in the final A, while the female C2 added a new podium to Spain with a meritorious bronze medal. The boat composed of Sara Ouzande, Lucía Val, Estefanía Fernández and Bárbara Pardo dominated the end of the K4 500 meters, one of the queens of the Olympic program, with a 1: 34,590 chrono.

In K4 500 male, the Spanish quartet formed by Adrián del Río, Carlos Arévalo, Marcus Cooper and Álex Graneri ended in a fourth meritorious position (1: 20,670), staying at the doors of the podium. A relatively new team, with few training together, but that has kept the level in the championship queen test. With the ticket to the World Cup and the European under his arm, he plays hard to continue with the dynamics shown in the last decade.

In another high-level final, the couple formed by María dels Ángels Moreno and Viktoria Yarchvska hung the bronze in the C2 500, after completing the race in 1: 57,650. Spain also placed two boats in the A final, as Antana Jácome and María Corbera finished in 6th position, adding more quality points for the collective balance.

Carlos Arévalo, for his part, was 3rd in the final A of the K1 200 meters, after an agonic race in which the gold was distributed between two palists. The Galician palist gave it all in spite of the little recovery time he had after the end of the K4 500. In another very high-level final, Pablo Graña obtained the silver medal at the C1 200 meters, stopping the horn in 39.24 seconds, only 0.12 from the winner, Chinese Yuebin Yu. The Galician showed a great output and maintained its power to the end, confirming its position among the best in the world in this explosive specialty.

Laura Pedruelo debuted in an international final of the K1 1000 m, achieving the 8th square after a demanding race. For its part, Pablo Crespo concluded the seventh position at the end of the C1 1000,

Paco Cubelos won the final C of the male K1 1000 m, reaffirming its competitive level after the national selective process. Iñigo Peña, also in this distance, was 7th in the final B, completing a good role of the Spanish palists in the background tests. Begoña Lazkano also harvested a seventh place in the K1 500 Final B.
