The J70 HSN Sailing Team wins in Barcelona, APD Travel in Ibiza
HSN Sailing Team, winner of the Barcelona Spring Series of J70
After 25 sleeves in the three series held, the canary team of HSN Sailing Team, which had already won the first two series, has been proclaimed champion and in the latter he was fired with a second place, with a total of 42 net points. It follows him in the second drawer of the HangTen- Hnos podium. 71-point berga and in the third square has managed to climb after this last event, the Balearia - Team RCNP with the young balar Maria Bover to the cane, with an accumulated 120 points. The national season of the J70 class continues this same month. The closing event of the Atlantic Sailways Series is held on the weekend of May 17-18. Then in Barcelona, it will be the 52nd Conde de Godó Trophy that will be held from 30 May to 1 June, in which in addition to ORC and J70 monotypes, the Women's Cup, exclusive for female crews that will also regateate on board J70 monotypes, will be held again for the third consecutive year... the season will end with the Spanish Championship (Marina Coruña Nautical Club, 13-15 June) and the Spanish Cup (Barcelona, 3-5 October) which will be the punctual competitions to set up the national ranking of the 2025, which will define the Spanish squares for the 2026 World Cup to be held in the Lusian port of Cascais.
Marina ibiza wins the IX APD Travel Regatta on board the Galaxy
Marina Ibiza once again became the meeting point of the corporate nautical, acting as host port in this event
which has already been consolidated as an essential event of the calendar. During this IX edition of the Travel Regata organized by the APD, 11 boats and about 120 business managers from Ibiza and Palma sailed between islands, with the Cala Figuera Lighthouse as the starting point, Tagomago as the arrival line and Marina Ibiza as the host port of arrival, once again consolidating the link between the business world and the nautical. On this occasion, in addition to providing its infrastructure and hospitality for the development of the event, Marina Ibiza has managed to rise with the victory on board the electric sailboat Galaxy, a classic, robust and efficient boat that
surprised in the final classification.
The Galaxy is distinguished by being a 100% electric sailboat, becoming a reference for sustainable navigation. Aware of its commitment to the environment, Marina Ibiza chose to sail on board this boat to align its participation with its philosophy of supporting responsible initiatives with the environment and promoting the use of clean technologies in sport. In addition, as part of the social commitment of the race, a donation of €3,400 was made to the APFEM (Associació Pitiüsa per a la Salut Mental), thanks to the collaboration of all the participating companies. CaixaBank, in its support for the cause, doubled this amount, adding a significant total of €7,700, for contribute to local projects.
