Great atmosphere for this weekend in front of the charismatic Trophy José Luis Azqueta of the hand of his heart club all his life... in which he held the office of president and comedian, and one of the highest culapables of the rebirth of the Club de Las Arenas, after the difficult 1970s.

They will be in the Abra dozens and dozens of regatists in a championship that remembers in each edition, there are already almost 25, to José Luis Azqueta. He was president of the Club de Las Arenas between 1993 and 1997 and one of the main drivers of this sport in the Basque Country. Baiona, Vigo and Sanxenxo, rescue the triple alliance of success of the Glory (70-80) and General Optica (80-90)
It was the logical thing. The race that in the 70's, 80's and 90's became the most important even in Spain... place of privilege that was reached by hand first with the Glori Trophy and then in General Optica... it was in the late 90s to cease to exist for different reasons. It's clear that any pen phrase, it's not always infallible... and it's clear that in this case, it doesn't make sense. Welcome back to the stage the Green Trophy or whatever it is called... but that's true with the three big ones of the south united, as it should be: Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona, Real Club Nautico de Sanxenxo and Real Club Nautico de Vigo.
The Mount Real Club of Yates inaugurates this Saturday the heavy sailing season with this Green Trophy that will include two simultaneous races with the end in Baiona... the most mature test will start at 12: 00 noon from Sanxenxo and at 2: 00 p.m. the horn for the race that will come out of Vigo... ORC's, J80's and Fisbarians will be held a competition in which the participation of about 50 ships and about 300 regatists will be expected. What I said is a good idea, a step that must be inclined to recoup this classic... which eye became the most important in Spain, right, friend José Luis Freire?
The A2 fleet lift the curtain to the 25th edition of the Star of Levante Regata 2025
