The 420 Spanish Championship is launched in El Balís, with 76 team
The 2025 Spanish Championship of class 420 is held until April 19 in Catalan waters, with the organization of the prestigious Club Níutic El Balís, with the participation of 76 crews distributed among the male, female and mixed categories.
The Catalans Pol Mateu and Quim Serra were declared absolute Spanish champions 2024 in the waters of the bay of Cadiz, on this occasion but, Pol Mateu (CN El Balís) and Quim Serra (RCN Barcelona) will participate separately, Mateu, world champion in 2023, will do so in conjunction with the balar Sofia Cavaco (CN S'Arenal) and Serra with his club partner Pedro Sotomayor.
The optimist a luxury for the Maritime of Santander or vice versa, start their Spanish Championship
The Spanish Championship of Optimist counts the absolute div tions, sub13 and sub16 both male and female, eleven autonomous communities have classified their athletes; highlighting for more number of registered Baleares and Valencia Community (20 regatists each), Canary Islands, Catalonia and Andalusia (19 per community) and Galicia (18), as well as an emerging Cantabria.
The national call presents a very high level among those registered, highlighting the names of the Catalan Juan Lleonart (Club Náutico El Balís), the leader of the Spanish Cup of Optimt 2024 and the international circuit of Excellence Cup, the Balar regional champion Xauco García (Club Náutico S'Arenal), the leader of the Canary ranking Lili María Skomska (RCN Gan Canaria) or the Infanta Sea (RCMT Punta Umbria) and José de Linares (RC El Candado) champions of the Andaluz ranking, or the Chário (Club) among others.
Among the cantabra representation, with 10 places awarded to participate in this Spanish Championship of Optimist, among others the champions of Cantabria sub 16 and sub 13, Pedro Pombo and Miguel Echávarri respectively, as well as their colleagues from the School of Regats of the Royal Maritime Club of Santander.
