The 420 and Optimist Nationals start in El Balís and Santander
The Balis puts in place the Spanish Championship of 420
I begin in El Balís the National of 420, with the participation of 76 crews, among the male, female and mixed categories... to be held until next Saturday... in which the ships of Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Catalonia, Comunitat Valenciana, Galicia and the Basque Country participate. In addition to three Portuguese crews, who do not choose the national title, arrived from the Navale Cascais Club.

155 athletes from 11 autonomous communities, aged between 11 and 16, have taken over the area of the Duna Zaera and CEAR Principe Felipe de Santander on the occasion of the beginning of the measurements and inscriptions prior to the celebration of the Spanish Championship of the Optimist class.
Prior to the competition that will be held in the waters of the capital Cantabra, with up to 12 races distributed in a classification series plus one final, the days of Tuesday 15 April and Wednesday 16 have been destined to the confirmations of statutory inscriptions and measurement as a step before the dispute of the national title. The Inaugural Ceremony of the Spanish Championship will also take place on Wednesday at the Festivals Palace.
The area of the Duna Zaera and CEAR of sailing are already occupied with the bustle of the preparations of this more than 100 and a half of young athletes and their technicians.
