Recreation boat enrolment is 474 until February

Of the total number of registered registrations in the period under review, 73,6% are for private use and 26,4% are for vessels for nautical charter
The nautical market is closed in February with 474 registration of recreational boats in the first two months of 2025. There are 71 fewer registrations than those recorded in the same period of 2024, according to the monthly report prepared by ANEN with the data provided by the General Directorate of the Merchant Navy.
The ships of up to 6 meters continue to lead the nautical market (71.3%) and record, until February of this year, 338 enrollments, with a decrease of -12.2% regarding the same period of 2024.
The remaining length is also below the figures for the same period last year.

Market segmentation
The markets with the most representation in the nautical market until February remain the motor ships (44.9%) that have experienced a decrease in enrollments of -13,4% and the water motorcycles (22.4% of the market) with a fall of -23.2%. Folding pneumatic (16.5% of the market) increase their enrolment by 50% in the period computed compared to the same month of 2024.
The rest of the markets register downwards.

Rental market:
The nautical charter market (boat rental) records 125 units of ships registered until February of this year for this use compared to 172 registered in the same period of 2024, a fall of -27.3%.
By length, boats up to 6 meters are also the most significant, also in the rental market. By type of boat, motor boats and water bikes still have the highest representativeness.
Enrolment by province:
The Balearic Islands, Barcelona and Alicante have led the registration until February this year, with 66 records (Balearic Islands), 59 records (Barcelona) and 48 records (Alicante). With respect to the same period of 2024, Barcelona, has a growth of 34%, Alicante grows by 29.7% and Baleares falls by -27.5%. Other provinces with high enrolment are Murcia (40) and Almería (23).
