Alejandro Alonso del Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona, with an excellent closing day, in which he achieved a third and a first place was made with the absolute victory the Galician Championship of Optimist that organized by the Club Náutico Marina Coruña that presides the great ocean regatist Chuny Bermudez de Castro, ended in herculine waters. The second square was for another of the strong promises of the Galician candle: Daniel Iglesias of the Riveira Nautical Sports Club, while the absolute bronze and the award to the best female regatist, was for Alma Chamorro of the Canido Maritime Club.

The rest of the top ten of the most experienced athletes of this class in Galicia, were completed by components of the teams of the two large Galician nautical: the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña and the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo, even though the fourth place was for Enzo Ferrón de Riveira. To highlight that in the yellow group Alejandro Alonso had four first positions and a third... dismissing his score in the fourth manga, in which he had been disqualified.

It meritoria the performance of all the regatists of the group Azul, which brought together the second block of the ranking, which managed to complete four sleeves for the most part, despite the hardness of the wind in mucod moments. The Herculino Camilo Silva of the Marina Coruña Regatas Team was made with the victory, being the silver and best girl Gala Blanco of the Club Marítimo de Canido and the bronze Alonso Ons Freire of the Real Club Náutico de Portosín.

Beautiful, and not without hardness, this autonomous championship that hosted one of the best-equipped clubs at the national level, which has in its staff navigators and regatists, which make it easy what would not have been so much in other places with less experience.

On the other hand Alma played on the starting sleeve with a 24 place, but later achieved 4 ° -2 ° -2, which was worth it to get the second place provisionally.

They complete the top ten after the first four sleeves Carmen Bermejo Etchevarría of the Real Club Nautico de La Coruña, also splendid with 4º-3º-4º, and a 30 place that discards as a worse score... When it was five o'clock in the afternoon, the meeting of the 22 race officers at the Marina Coruña facility had a clear decision: "There is no reason to test with constant winds of more than 30 knots because of the obvious danger to the 150 young optimistic in competition, and we also have two days ahead of us in which the wind will be more favorable to hold a competition of this importance... and without any risk to the regatists."

The decision had the approval of the Director of the Regata, who is the director of the Club Náutico Marina Coruña: José Ramón Pardo "Phis" one of the most qualified technicians of the sailing in our country; who obtained the approval of the president, the great Ocenanic regatist Chuny Bermudez de Castro who told us: "The judges have not limited themselves to being present at the facilities, as they went to sea at first hour and did what they could and more because of the regatta, and they have made the decision we all expected and for which I congratulate them: to cancel a very complicated day with very young people, with hurricane winds of more than 40 knots. I am sure that tomorrow and the past will live competition as the canons send and our promises will enjoy the nice, with other more reasonable conditions."

Therefore on Sunday at the edge of 10: 00 in the morning, the delta flag of the International Signal Code will indicate to the 150 participants their departure to the sea and an hour later the sleeves will start for both the Atlantic Valmy Trophy and the Decor Star, which on Saturday despite the efforts of the technicians was impossible. The tactic of the Arcadio Tizón team to take the regatta field to the Guisanda area from Santa Cristina and Bastiagueiro was not enough medicine for the experienced northeastern temporalon. The idea is that Sunday's program will make it possible to carry out four valid sleeves... the forecast of a 15-knots north, as indicated.
