At the same time, the Regate in Mer has been the stage of the latest Barcelona Failing Winter Series event, which in this season has had 60 regatists from 11 different countries. The final results of the Barcelona Failing Winter Series 2024-25 have crowned Pablo Astiazarán (Real Club Náutico de Barcelona) as the absolute champion of the competition, followed in the podium by Dani Cabré (Club Nàutic El Masnou) in second position and Baptiste Courtias (CNV Aix les Bains) in third position. In the female category, Swedish Liv Häggström has taken the title, consolidating her excellent performance throughout the series. For its part, in the Slalom classification, the Italian Federico Bergamasco (Circolo Nautico Mandraccio) has proclaimed himself a winner, demonstrating his dominance in this mode.

The Optiorange 2025 is already a reality. Valènica already lives the great international party of the children's sailing, race organized by the Real Club Náutico de Valencia that starts on Thursday, February 27, and will end on Sunday, March 2, with about 330 regatists from 29 countries, with Spain having 11 Autonomous Communities. The Optiorange 2025 officially closes its registration and does so with 528 regatists, represented in 29 countries. The international event of the Optimist class, being part of the Optimist Excellence Cup calendar, comes to its seventh edition, becoming only seven years a whole reference of the children's sailing, both nationally and internationally.
The fleet will have four days of competition ahead of it. Thursday and Friday will be for the qualifying round. If the race committee can complete the program, at least 4 tests closed in the five groups, the final series scheduled for Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 will be given way. A maximum of 12 tests are scheduled in the portfolio.
