Andrea Periotto (Sub16), Diego Jáuregui (Sub13) and Adela Penide (Sub11) oros in the OptiGetxo Regata

A hundred regatists completed the second and final day in the OptiGetxo Regata in the Vizcaina waters of the Abra. The meeting, organized by the Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club, was decided with a south-east wind of up to 12 knots. In sub- 16 category Andrea Periotto, of the organizing club, was imposed with his fellow Nicolás Bastard in the second square and Laura Angulo in the third. Already in sub-13 category he won Diego Jáuregui, from the Nautico Club of Hondarribia, with Ibai Casasempere, from the Real Nautico Club of San Sebastián, in the second square. Third was Juana Bastard from the Sand Club. The sub-11 category was taken by the Viscaine Adela Penide, with her partner Mariana Arriola second and the Alavés Aratz Meza third.

Tens of young promises from the Basque sailing of the host club of Las Arenas, as well as from the Nautical Club of Hondarribia, the Real Nautical Club of San Sebastián and the Nautical Club of Vitoria participated in this championship. The OptiGetxo Regata was organized by the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club and its School of Selling José Luis de Ugarte, with the collaboration of the Vizcana and Vasca de Vela Federations, the City of Getxo and the Bizkaia Foral Diputación.

Blanca Ferrando (Ilca4) and Leya Seguí (WingFoil) win in the Olympic Week of Alicante

In the class Ilca4 with 50 participants Blanca Ferrando led the general from beginning to end, always followed close to Mateo Carbonell (CN Jávea), who would finally take the triumph in male category... the third square was for Eugenio Ribelles (RCR Alicante). By categories the female podium was formed by Blanca Ferrando, first; María Fenoll (CN Santa Pola), second and María Stapinska (RCN Valencia), third. The male podium was for Carbonell, first; Ribelles, second and Javier Bellver (RCN Valencia), third. In Sub16 Liam Woods (RCN Valencia) and Stapinska itself were the winners.

The WingFoil class only competed two days and after the blank day of Saturday Leyla Seguí, it won with authority, followed by its club partner, Adrià Rabassa (CN Port Pollença) who would end up tied to 9 points with Dino Loiacon (RCN Palma), which would be third. In female category, Seguí's victory, accompanied in the podium by his club companions Neus Pericas and Valentina Cifre.

For Nacho Pérez Lago la Copa Andalucía de Windsurf

The Andalusian windsurfer and current champion of Spain, Nacho Pérez Lago, finally gives his provisional leadership and raises the autonomous cup by adding his fourth partial victory and giving thanks to the discarding of an offline in the last trial. They confirm Tristan Melgarejo and his father Borja Melgarejo, second and third, respectively. As Tristan returned today to be the main rival of Pérez Lago, second in the first trial and winner of the second.

In the category of heavy the podium is entirely foreign and is occupied by this order by the Galician Fernando González del Castillo, Esteban M-Abarca and Francisco Javier Avilés, with the first Andalusian, the windsurfer of the CND Vera de Mar Ignacio Alberich, in the fourth place. There are no Andaluties among the women, where the victory is for the sportsman of Castelldefels Veronica Severland.

A fleet of 50 ships from the Interclub Regata arrive in Sanxenxo
