Repsol supports the Puerto de La Duquesa in an emergency training day

The training day promoted by Repsol in collaboration with Cancomar will be February 5
The Port of La Duquesa will be the stage of the Day of Emergency Training, promoted by Repsol in collaboration with the company specialized in professional maritime training, Cancomar, which seeks to improve the skills and skills of port staff in the management of emergencies in the sports ports.
The training will take place on Wednesday, February 5 and is designed with an eminently practical approach. The main objectives of these sessions are the training of staff, stressing that having the right means does not guarantee success without the skills necessary for their effective use.
Theoretical-practical training
The day will consist of a theoretical first part, which will deal with points such as fire prevention and management, fire classification, fire extinguishers and the use of fire extinguishing systems in sports ports. Key issues such as the Emergency and Response Plan and the Maritime Interior Plan will also be addressed.
It will then be the time of practice with the emergency drill; the participants will apply what they learned in a controlled environment, followed by a common understanding of the results of the action. The programme will end with the delivery of diplomas and a lunch for participants.
The managing director of Marine of the Mediterranean, Manuel Raigón, has stressed the importance of these initiatives, stating that "our commitment to security and preparation in the harbour area is absolute. These days allow port staff to strengthen their skills and develop practical skills to ensure excellence in critical situations."
This initiative is part of an annual programme developed by Repsol at strategic points in Andalusia and the Canary Islands, strengthening its commitment to the security and development of the maritime sector.
