José Alfredo Bea García, president of the Galician Federation of Piragüismo, has formally filed a complaint with the Administrative Court of Sport (TAD) to challenge the results of the elections to the presidency of the Royal Spanish Federation of Piragüismo.

The claim indicates serious irregularities in the electoral process, including:

1. Proclamation of early results:
According to the electoral calendar, the provisional proclamation was due on 28 January 2025. However, the Electoral Board declared Javier Hernanz president on 25 January, generating legal uncertainty about the time limits for challenging the results.

2. Deffects on the vouchers of Javier Hernanz's candidacy:
It has been found that the vouchers submitted by the Hernanz was signed before he formalized his candidacy, when he was still President of the Management Commission. This is contrary to article 17.4 of Order EFD / 42 / 2024, which requires that the vouchers support a candidate rather than an institutional figure.

3. Abuse of resources during the electoral process: Mr. Hernanz habría recuperado avales y realizado actos de campaña mientras efecciaba como presidente de la Comisión Gestora, infringando el duty de neutralidad encontrado en el artículo 12.4 de la mismo normación electoral.

4. Non-compliance with the electoral rules: The Electoral Board and the TAD did not resolve the previous challenges within the time limits, affecting the transparency and fairness of the process.

In view of the seriousness of the facts, Bea García requests the Tribunal to annul the electoral results and to retroact the process at the time of the final proclamation of applications, excluding that of Mr. Hernanz. It also requires that the process be strictly in line with the existing time and regulations, ensuring equal conditions for all candidates.

This action underlines the importance of a fair and transparent electoral process for the benefit of sport and the democratic principles governing sports institutions.
