The absence of wind has prevented sailing on Sunday in the waters of Motril, to close as planned the first autonomous cup of the new season for the Snipe class, which has had the organization of the Real Club Náutico de Motril and the Andalusian Federation of Vela, by delegation of the Council of Culture and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía.

In this way, the race is closed with the three tests of Saturday, and the victory of the crew of the organizing club formed by Ángel Ballesteros and Sonia Hidalgo. The current champions of Andalusia and Spain master raise the autonomous cup from the second place of the general, which has as winners Manuel Ocillero (Naval Commission of Marin Regates) and Ignacio Pedros of the Naval Commission of Regatas de Cadiz, winners of the Trophy Pata Negra Sailing Week.

Oillero and Pedrós total 4 points (1,2.1), only one less than Ballesteros and Hidalgo (2,1.2). The general podium is completed by the crew of Miguel and María del Mar Correa (RCN de Motril), followed by Rafa Díaz and María Bover of the Mediterranean RC, third in the autonomous podium.

Closing of the Autumn Trophy of Cruises and Snipe of the hand of the Astur of Regats of Gijón

An inescapable competition in the competitive agenda of the masters of this class and a social meeting point much expected by the regatists who have the opportunity to measure each other in the framework of a very charismatic competition.

The waters of Calella de Palafrugell will witness the sports disputes at the highest level of the regatists in what is probably considered today the epicenter of the EurIlca Master circuit as the most crowded race of the Circuit. The 130 regatists and the 19 countries participating in 2024 revalidated once again this fact... for this great participation, takes advantage of the event of Calella de Palafrugell to award the awards of the previous year's EurIlca Master Circuit.
