The second stage was marked by the harsh conditions

The first edition of the Palma-Melilla-Palma A2 race was to end this morning with the victory of the French prototype Optimum, patronized by Mateo Le Calvic and tripulated by Arthur Meurise, as well as the Italian serial ship Red Hot Mini Pepper, by Nicolo Gamenara and Giacomo Nicchita. Both ships, which also triumphed in the first stage, have reaffirmed their dominance in this demanding competition for the Mini class 6.50.

The Optimum completed the 1,000 nautical miles of the two stages in 148 hours and 37 minutes, while the Hot Mini Pepper Network did so in 154 hours and 59 minutes. The fleet, made up of 30 boats after the leaving of the Chaner R. and the Rapscallion, crossed the line of arrival at the Royal Nautical Club in Palma in a phased manner during the early morning and early morning hours.
