Abanca Week: without wind at the Zendal, second act of A Coruña Nautical Festival

One of the reference competitions of the Spanish women's candle ended in herculine waters: the Trophy Isabel Zendal penultimate act of A Coruña Nautical Festival, played at the Abanca Week. And he did it with a bad taste of mouth, despite the great organizational effort of the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña to bring together a large part of the best Spanish crews... and is that the lack of wind despite the efforts of judges and regatists, has damaged a competition of bells.
If only a manga was achieved on Saturday, which was won by the Gran Canaria team, on Sunday, although the day was beginning very early, there was another one of the same, but more without happy ending. In this manga the Galician representatives competed, who began their double barlovento-sotavento with a soft wind of five knots from the north-east, which lasted until the equator was completed, but which came down with a stripto later turning the race into a lottery, which forced the judges commanded by the Ferrolano Ignacio Palmero, to cancel the manga in question.

Until that time the Monte Real Club de Yates was the domino, with a crew composed of Ruth Jimenez, Rosario García, Susana Dolores Folla- Cisneros, Hilda Martín and Cristina González de Cominges. After Baiona's crew, the winners of the last edition were the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña with a whole Olympic gold medal such as Sofia Toro at the front, completing its crew Paloma Martínez de la Riva, Rosa María Gundín, Rloma Martínez de Ubago and Laura Prieto.
The third place for another of the teams that have a victory in the history of the Zendal: the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo that presented a crew with much youth and future case of Daniela Mariño, Ines Ameneiro, Adriana Pérez Canal, Rosalia García Pillado and Helena Pérez Canal.

For their part, crews and technicians made no less than ten attempts, in so many other failed exits because the wind could not stand the precise. It is worth the fact that while the top of the sleeves was at one and a half of the afternoon... there was a meeting at sea with all the team's employers and unanimously as a sign of support and appreciation for the organizational effort made by the Concello da Coruña, Abanca and the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña itself, the time-limit for two hours was delayed... but all the efforts were slow. Now A Coruña Nautical Festival is going with the base candle, as the next actio will be dedicated to the optimist. It will be with the Regata Aurelio Fernández Lage, the next weekend, with 150 ships that will be played whether or not to be in the Spanish Championship.
