The RFEV will hold a training course for officers this weekend at the specialized centre for sports technology in Sela Bahia de Cadiz, for which there are still free places
The Technical Committee of Judges of the Real Federación Española de Vela will conduct a Training Course for Regatas Officer, aimed at autonomous and professional officials in the activity, which will take place on the next weekend of 9 and 10 November at the Centro especializado de Tecnificación Deportiva de Vela "Bahia de Cadiz," headquarters of the Federación Andaluza de Vela, in El Puerto de Santa María.
This training is aimed at autonomous officials with experience of at least one year and Federation officials who want to be reactivated in the professional field. The course will have a total duration of two days, with hours from 10: 00 to 19: 00 on Saturday 9 and from 09: 30 to 14: 00 on Sunday 10, ending with an evaluation test in which an 80% score will be reached to pass.
The training content covers a number of key issues:
Sailing Regatta Regulation, signs and definitions.
Organization and functions of the Regatas Committee.
Bringing the race area.
Application and unification of criteria in races.
Once the theoretical test has been completed, the participants will be required to carry out practices by trainers accredited by the Federation. At the end of this process, and after being qualified as fit, they can obtain the title of National Regatta Officer.
This course, which will be conducted by María Torrijo, an international race officer, has a scholarship for women participating in the Women and Sport Programme of the Higher Council for Sports, thus promoting women's participation in the sector.
For a minimum of 15 people and a maximum of 25, 18 people are now registered, so there is still a possibility to sign up.
The course price is 180 €and the requirements:
Be over 18 years of age or meet them during the course.
Paying registration rights
Justifying being an Autonomical Officer at least one year
Federal leave of a judge in force (before starting the working period)
