Gourmet Regatta Gourmet Puerto Sotogrande, a different race
On Saturday, October 19, the fifth edition of the Puerto Sotogrande Gastronomic Regatta will be held, a unique event that unites the passion for navigation and gastronomy. Organized by the Real Club Marítimo de Sotogrande and Puerto Sotogrande, it has the collaboration of the City Council of San Roque and the Andalusian Federation of Vela. This race is a reference in the provinces of Cadiz and Málaga, and not only for its sporting character but for the uniqueness of integrating culinary art on the high seas.
The race, which reached its fifth edition in 2024, came under the idea that "a navigator must have the necessary technical knowledge to maintain a proper diet on long sea crossings." Healthy feeding and the challenge of cooking on board are fundamental aspects for the crew during long periods at sea, and this event seeks to highlight the importance of these elements.
