EKP Women's Cup in Getxo waters the end of the Iberdrola League

The Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club is host this weekend of the final phase of this championship with 15 crews from all over the country
Fifteen female crews return to the Abra this weekend and once again acquire their leading role as in the four previous editions. For the fifth year in a row and in the form of elimination, the EKP Women's Cup returns in the J80 class, as well as the great end of the Iberdrola League. The Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club organizes a test that will take place in the field of regats of the Vizcaina waters of the Abra. This promotes the navigation of female crews and the promotion of their leadership.
Getxo is one of the headquarters that the Royal Spanish Vela Federation established for this Iberdrola League 2024, the only Spanish female sailing circuit in monotypes, which has already seen how the tests of the C. N. Altea have been developed, then in the waters of the Valencian community based in the R.C.N. Calpe and the following two quotes in the Canary Islands, in Lanzarote, where the R.C.N. Arrecife took the third test, and a few weeks ago in Galicia. Now, it faces the great final that takes place in the waters of the Abra, with the competition on 12 and 13 October, based in the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club.
This Spanish Championship starts this Friday with the opening of the race office, as well as the registration and control of candles and equipment, on a day where there will be training and meeting of employers. On Saturday 12 at noon will take place the departure of the first of the proposed tours, which will continue on the final day on Sunday 13. For this appointment are already pre-registered crews of the Real Club Náutico de Madrid, Real Club Náutico de Santander, Real Club Náutico de San Sebastián, Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, Club Náutico Arenal, Club Náutico Altea, Real Club Náutico de Calpe, Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona, Real Club Náutico de Valencia, Real Club Náutico de Palma, Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, Club Patea Munduari and the hosts of the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club. Right now, the classification is headed by the Arenal Nautical Club, followed by the Altea Nautical Club and the Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria-Seven Up.
The Iberdrola- Spanish Women's Sailing Championship is organized by the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, the Altea Nautical Club, Real Calpe Nautical Club, Real Arrecife Nautical Club, Real Galician Sailing Federation and Real Abra Maritime Club with the collaboration of the Autonomous Federations of the races. The competition, which also has the sponsorship of Euskadiko Kirol Portuak.
