The 45th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race will begin on Saturday, October 19, at the foot of the spectacular bastions of La Valeta in Malta. An international fleet of 110 ships from 30 countries will face the challenge of circumnavigating Sicily in a timeless sense along 606 nautical miles, a tour admired by its beauty and respected by its hardness.

Few nautical events combine a tour of such beauty and a level competition that it offers every year to Rolex Middle Sea Race. The only test of height with exit and arrival in Malta enjoys an undeniable magnetism that has attracted professional and amateur regatists since its first edition in 1968. Rolex has been its main sponsor since 2002, and during that period, the attraction of the race organized by the Royal Malta Yacht Club has grown exponentially. Today it is considered one of the main ocean races of the known as the 600 nautical mile club.

Its 45 edition begins on Saturday, October 19, at 11: 00. At that time there will be one of the most spectacular exits in the sailing world, marked by the deafening sound of the Salutting Battery cannons, in the bastions of La Valeta, while the fleet leaves the Grand Harbour to begin the circumnavigation of Sicily. The list of participants is 110 ships of 29 nationalities with a length of between the 100 pieces of the Scallyw, ag 100 and Black Jack 100, and the 32 feet of the little Muttle- BND Audit.
